CNCS Committees
The CNCS currently has 3 standing committees along with the main Council. CNCS also has members who sit on a variety of Campus-wide Governance Councils. Below you will find information on the various types of committees that we have.

Committees
Council
The CNCS Council is comprised of elected non-represented classified staff members for 3 year terms. The council governs the other CNCS committees and provide guidance for CNCS. The council has four members in the Executive Committee. The council also consists of several Ex-Officio members.
Climate & Professional Development Committee
This committee is responsible for creating training opportunities for CNCS members, administering the Professional Development Grants and Tuition Scholarship programs. They Organize brown-bags, seminar series, roundtables and other specialized training requested by CNCS members. They also listen to CNCS concerns regarding various climate related issues and try to find resolution or help when possible.
Communication & Selection Committee
This committee is responsible for contacting new non-represented classified staff, producing the newsletter-brochure-mailings and any marketing for CNCS. They are also in charge of all nominations, appointments, elections and ensuring CNCS representation at campus-wide functions and committees. The CNCS website and e-mail lists are run by members on this committee.
Compensation Committee
This committee examines compensation and benefit issues affecting CNCS staff and makes recommendations to the Campus and State legislation on behalf of CNCS.

Monthly Update on Each Campus Committee Activities
Each CNCS member on one of the above mentioned Campus-wide committee is to give a brief synopsis of the committee's activities for the month. This data is collected by the Communication & Selection Committee and then sent to Council each month.
