  • Need a little stress relief or just a quick break from the office? Come and join other non-reps in a midday yoga/stretching session led by Marge Wilsman. The sessions will be offered on Thursdays from 12:15-12:45pm, starting on June 5, outside near Bascom, weather permitting. Please meet at Abe Lincoln for the first session. See attached flyer for additional information.

  • Leadership and Management Development - Enhanced
    These workshops promote continuing professional development for more experienced managers. Dealing with topics such as problem solving and analysis, multi-cultural approaches to conflict and managing change, LMD-Enhanced highlights and emphasizes important skills professionals should possess in order to effectively deal with these issues.

  • Department Administrator Certificate Program

    Created for administrators at UW-Madison in 2001, the Department Administrator Certificate Program (DACP) strives to guide individuals in their professional pursuits. By enhancing administrators¿ knowledge of the University and assisting them in supporting UW-Madison departments, the DACP encourages administrators to become more effective and successful managers and supervisors. To be eligible for DACP, one must be nominated by his or her dean’s office. The deadline for nominations is usually in July for the next year. There is no charge for participation in the program.

  • Advanced Labor Relations (ALR)
    While it's not mandatory, it's strongly encouraged that State of Wisconsin supervisors/managers interested in attending ALR have already attended the Personnel Administration new supervisor training (or Basic Supervisory program equivalent provided by large agencies).
