Professional Development Grant Program
The
Council for Non-represented Classified Staff is pleased to announce
the continuation of a program that was authorized by the Vice Chancellor
for Administration and is sponsored by CNCS and administered by
UW-Madison Classified Human Resources. This program, the Professional
Development Grant Program for Non-represented Classified Staff,
provides funding to all permanent non-represented classified staff
that hold at least a 50% non-represented classified staff appointment.
This is a matching
program and half of the funding for the grant comes from the
staff member's department. The objectives of this grant program
are:
1) improved institutional
effectiveness,
2) improved program
quality, and
3) individual professional
development. The primary focus of these grants is on training
and/or retraining to improve the effectiveness of the non-represented
classified staff members.
